I loved this hat the second it arrived. Knitted in the finest wool from Shetland by the friend of a friend, its colour its shape, its texture, its design akin to the sea and sand, the coastal edges. However, yesterday when walking on the beach wearing it the pattern in my hat and the patterns beneath my feet and above me started to merge and I could feel the knitter’s inspiration all around…
