Living on the west coast of Wales the light is constantly changing. In the winter the contrast and drama are quite extraordinary.
This last week has been a visual feast here between the mountains and the sea, with the most superb sunsets and numerous glitter paths on the sea leading west. Then, inland, huge snow clouds and horizontal sleet, slate grey, blocking all visibility. Suddenly appearing from behind the cloud, snow covered mountains revealed like sail boats on a stormy sea.
The cold north wind a symphonic backdrop creating movement and change, followed by a deafening quiet and a clear dark starlit sky where the earth’s revolution feels tangible.
These are my thoughts and dreams this week and some images in process exploring this.
